Friends of St Levan

Friends of St Levan

The ‘Friends of St Levan School’ are parents and friends of the school who work towards fundraising to pay for extracurricular activities and any other items asked for by the school.

Everyone is welcome to be part of our friendly group and we meet roughly twice a term to organise events. Look out for meeting dates in the School’s Friday Newsletter.

We try and hold at least one fund raising activity per term but we also like to hold social events where everyone in our school community can meet and get to know each other better.

Our most regular events are the Christmas Market, Summer Fete, Quiz Night and the Duck Race. We have also enjoyed a Musical Concert, an Auction of Promises and an Art Exhibition amongst other things. We are always looking for fresh ideas to raise money and have fun. Over the past 6 years we have raised £11,000 (not bad for a small school!) and we are very grateful to everyone in the Penwith community who has helped to make this possible.

By holding events at the school itself we aim to raise the profile of the school and enable outsiders to see how lovely it is.

We hold our AGM in the Summer Term, and vote in core committee members; the date of which is advertised both at the school and in the local press.

We would love to have more people involved in our group. We need help in a wide range of tasks: including helping out at events, making cakes, selling ducks and putting up marquees etc.

Come and join us.
