'Where all children shine'
We trust that you find your visit to our school website informative and fun, giving a complete insight into our wonderful school!
At St Levan, we strive for excellence by inspiring and educating all our children as unique individuals. We are a small rural school situated at the bottom of a beautiful wooded valley in the West Penwith area. Our school caters for 4-11 year olds and we work hard to provide a safe, secure, happy environment for all of our children to learn and thrive in.
We are also fortunate to be located near the stunning coastline of Penberth Cove and Porthcurno Beach. The open air Minack Theatre is also a close neighbour, and they provide a business link which enables a week long residency each Summer from The Central School of Speech and Drama students in our school.
As you navigate through our website you will see that we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and after school clubs, catering for a range of interests across the school, particularly those which allow all of us to learn and apply skills in a collaborative way. Our children have plentiful opportunities to participate in sporting activities and musical provision. Regular visits and visitors provide many embellishments to teaching and learning, and the curriculum.
We are a very open school with a community feel, valuing the ways in which we communicate with our parents and families. Not only of what is going on at school, but also our strengths, and areas of development, so that we can all work together to give our children and community the best opportunities possible. The school is very welcoming and diverse, the staff are very dedicated, the parents, families and community are supportive, and the children, the heart of our school, are fantastic, demonstrating excellent attitudes and behaviours to their learning, and a pride in their many opportunities and achievements.
Our motto is very clear, 'where all children SHINE', all working together to realise an INDIVIDUALITY in the all-round education afforded in preparing children for learning the skills which give them their own aspirations, interests and options in life.
Whether you are an existing parent, or prospective parent looking to enrol your child in our school, please organise a time to come and have a look at our learning in action. We are always happy to show people first hand why we are so proud of our school.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact us at the school directly with any queries you may have.

In Art Club, we learned about continuous line drawing. Turns out, it's really hard to keep your pen on the paper! Great job, Puffins!
Where is China? This question has led our learning this week as we have created maps, big and small. Today, we focused on the human and physical geographical features of China. Can you spot the Himalayas or Gobi Desert? 🇨🇳
Our final week of term has had a very festive feel. The children loved their presents from Santa and, today, enjoyed a Christmas treasure hunt in the garden; thank you to Sophia for organising this. Merry Christmas one and all. Have a safe and relaxing break. 🎅🎄🎁
@StLevanSchool Oh thank you so so much for sharing these. I can’t stop smiling. They are gorgeous!!! Xxx
