'Where all children shine for life.....'
We trust that you find your visit to our school website informative and fun, giving a complete insight into our wonderful school!
At St Levan, we strive for excellence by inspiring and educating all our children as unique individuals. We are a small rural school situated at the bottom of a beautiful wooded valley in the West Penwith area. Our school caters for 4-11 year olds and we work hard to provide a safe, secure, happy environment for all of our children to learn and thrive in.
We are also fortunate to be located near the stunning coastline of Penberth Cove and Porthcurno Beach. The open air Minack Theatre is also a close neighbour, and they provide a business link which enables a week long residency each Summer from The Central School of Speech and Drama students in our school.
As you navigate through our website you will see that we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and after school clubs, catering for a range of interests across the school, particularly those which allow all of us to learn and apply skills in a collaborative way. Our children have plentiful opportunities to participate in sporting activities and musical provision. Regular visits and visitors provide many embellishments to teaching and learning, and the curriculum.
We are a very open school with a community feel, valuing the ways in which we communicate with our parents and families. Not only of what is going on at school, but also our strengths, and areas of development, so that we can all work together to give our children and community the best opportunities possible. The school is very welcoming and diverse, the staff are very dedicated, the parents, families and community are supportive, and the children, the heart of our school, are fantastic, demonstrating excellent attitudes and behaviours to their learning, and a pride in their many opportunities and achievements.
Our motto is very clear, 'where all children SHINE for life', all working together to realise an INDIVIDUALITY in the all-round education afforded in preparing children for learning the skills which give them their own aspirations, interests and options in life.
Whether you are an existing parent, or prospective parent looking to enrol your child in our school, please organise a time to come and have a look at our learning in action. We are always happy to show people first hand why we are so proud of our school.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact us at the school directly with any queries you may have.

A calm, peaceful morning was spent at St Levan Church today learning about why churches are important to Christians. Thank you to Michael and Bridget for teaching us some of our local church's history. It's a very special place.
In Science today, Choughs investigated how bees pollinate flowers. Bzzz!
Spring is here! We had a wonderful time hunting mini-beasts in the garden but got distracted by the cleavers/sticky weed/goose grass! Can you blame us?
Splann! / Splendid! Have your little language learners tried out Cornish Magi Ann Kernewek 2 yet? It's an app to help your child learn #Kernewek / #Cornish through simple stories. Download for iPhone and iPads: https://t.co/vCq9BLt1Hn
Today's Duck Race. So lovely to be able to get together and hold it again after 2 years!
Ducks painted and ready for tomorrow's race...
Today we welcomed the @minacktheatre production The Kiss That Missed. Neither the hail storm nor the rain storm could dampen spirits! The smoking dragon was amazing but I think everyone loved 'Da Bear' the most. Thank you to all!
