World Book Day 2018!

World Book Day 2018!

After some unusual weather - several inches of snow - our World Book Day celebrations were interrupted and postponed until the following week.

After starting the day with our annual 'Big Breakfast' where everyone comes to school early for a delicious cooked breakfast, we were treated to a reading of a new book called The Treebies which will hopefully be published soon. It was very interesting to learn about the plight of animals suffering as a result of habitat loss and why it is so important that we try to prevent this. The cookies at the end were delicious!

After this we began our own activities. Year 4, 5, 6 created their own Where's Wally page all about the snow days at school and in the afternoon, the whole school joined forces to  produce our own 'Where's Wally?' performance with John Brolly for parents to enjoy at the end of the day.

Another successful World Book Day!
